Trchkan Waterfall is in Lori Province, near the border with Shirak. It’s the tallest waterfall in Armenia, with water falling straight down from a height of 22.5 metres. Trchkan is a protected natural monument.
The name “Trchkan” comes from the Armenian word meaning “to jump.” Locals once saw river trout, swimming against the current, leaping over the waterfall, which gave it its name.
Our hike starts in the village of Mets Parni and takes us through the beautiful Bazum Mountains. Along the way, we’ll enjoy the lovely scenery of the Lori region. When we reach the waterfall, we’ll stop to take in the view, relax, and then return to the village along the same path.
This hike is great for both beginners and experienced walkers and can be done any time of year.
(The price includes the transport vehicle — it stays the same no matter how many people join.)
