Mount Yeghnasar stands on the border between Gegharkunik and Tavush and is part of the Areguni mountain range. It reaches 2,599 metres high and offers amazing views all around.
Lake Kakach is located in the Gegharkunik region, around 1.7 km northeast of the village of Tsovagyugh. The lake sits at 2,300 metres above sea level and covers an area of 1 hectare.
Our hike will begin in the village of Semyonovka. All along the trail — and especially from the summit — you’ll enjoy stunning views of Lake Sevan, the Tsaghkunyats Mountains, and the mountain ranges of Tavush Province. After a break at the top, we’ll make our way down to Lake Kakach, known for its unusual shape and lovely colours. The hike will finish in the village of Tsovagyugh.
It’s a fantastic walk for those who love mountain views and a bit of adventure.
