Mount Artanish
Mount Artanish is located on the beautiful Artanish Peninsula, rises to an elevation of 2,460 meters above sea level. From the summit, you’ll enjoy stunning views of Lake Sevan. This is the only spot where you can see the meeting point of Great and Little Sevan.
The hike starts from the lower slopes of the mountain and leads up to the summit. After a short rest and time to take in the views, we’ll walk back down to the peninsula.
Lake Sevan, in the Armenian Highlands, is the largest freshwater lake in the South Caucasus and an important water source for the region. It sits at around 1,900 metres above sea level, covers an area of 1,240 km², and has an average depth of 26.8 metres, with the deepest point reaching 80 metres.
This hike is gentle and perfect for beginners looking to enjoy nature and panoramic views.
