Mount Tezhkar is located in Ararat Province, Armenia, near the village of Tigranashen. It rises to 1,735 metres above sea level.
Our hike begins in the peaceful village of Tigranashen. From there, we’ll gradually climb around 400 metres to reach the summit of Mount Tezhkar. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the majestic Mount Ararat and the beautiful Urts mountain range.

After the climb, we’ll head down into Hell’s Gorge, also known as Aratso Gorge, named for the river that runs through it. The Aratso River starts on the slopes of the Gndasar Mountains, flows along the south-eastern side of the Urts ridge, and then joins the Araks River.
This canyon is known as one of Armenia’s most stunning spots, but it can be challenging to cross. Its slopes are steep, rocky and bare, with many caves and hollows to explore. It’s a great place for rock climbing and a favourite among hikers and adventure lovers.
After exploring the gorge, we’ll head back down to the village of Tigranashen to end our day.
(The price includes the transport vehicle — it stays the same no matter how many people join.)
