RoomGuru.ru hotel search engine has rated Armenia’s capital city Yerevan as the fifth most popular destination among Russian independent tourists wishing to spend the weekend abroad, ARKA reports.
The rating is based on search and hotel booking data for weekend stays for the period between June 1 and August 31, 2016 by independent travelers.
According RoomGuru.ru, Russians come to Yerevan for an average three-day stay paying about $48 for accommodation per day.
Among the 10 most popular tourist destinations for foreign trips are also included Prague, Minsk, Baku, Tbilisi, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, Warsaw and Barcelona.
The cheapest city is Minsk, where the average cost of a hotel room is $38 per day, and the most expensive is London - more than $150 per day.
RoomGuru.ru was named the best hotel search engine by World Travel Awards.
